Actions to Accomplish the Mission of the Leslie Diaspora Foundation

  1. Identify and support through grants and scholarships persons or organizations who are researchers or students who are retrieving documents and converting the Leslie documents into electronic media and adding metadata to the file for indexing and searching.
  2. Create a database of digital Leslie-related documents and Leslie stories with a searchable index and make that information available to the public.
  3. Create a guide for people doing genealogical research on Leslies and its clan Septs.
  4. Identify and support Leslie-related sites of historical or heritage importance in need of restoration or preservation throughout the world.
  5. Create a network of organizations and interested people who can share information and provide collaborative support for achieving the mission of the Leslie Diaspora Foundation.
  6. Provide an online forum for people to contribute historical or genealogical information which may help other people with their research.
  7. Create and distribute a newsletter of topics of interest for the Foundation.
  8. Create and distribute videos on topics of historical significance and interest for people interested in the migration of the Leslie family throughout the world.
  9. Facilitate heritage travel to Leslie sites through planning private tours with embedded historical seminars.

    The Actions are not listed in priority order and other projects may be added as the Foundation matures.

1.Weekly blog posting on Leslies in the book Inverurie and the Earldom of Garioch

2. Documenting and posting Pedigrees of all Leslie branches of the family.
