As you may know, the Leslie Global Diaspora Foundation is a research-preservation-publication and information sharing organization intended to benefit Leslies worldwide.
The Foundation has investigated the location of numerous important Leslie documents. In keeping with our mission, The next significant project will be the digitizing and preservation of perhaps hundreds of Leslie documents related to the Warthill Estate. This is a significant undertaking considering the several centuries of continuous residence of Leslies. https://www.wardhillcastle.co.uk/
This project is planned to be in cooperation and guidance of the University of Aberdeen and will include volunteers from the university, local historians, and Leslie volunteers. The Foundation volunteers will be completing this work at Wardhill the last two weeks of July 2025. A specific budget for the project has not yet been created, but it will be posted and announced.
