The Foundation partners with Dr. Emma Saggers for Scottish family research and consults with Emma on matters related to genealogy. Her bio is below:

Emma Saggers is a professional genealogist specialising in the ancestry of the British Isles, with a strong emphasis on historical and cultural context. Originally from Britain and having lived in the USA for the past 11 years, she has a particular interest in the historic diaspora from the British Isles and in reconnecting families with their cultural heritage.

Emma is actively involved with heritage non-profit organisations, focusing on the preservation of history, culture, and heritage for future generations. She is also passionate about understanding and promoting the folklore, customs, and traditions that are integral to the cultural heritage of Britain and Ireland.

She holds a PhD in Philosophy (Literature) from the University of Essex, an MA in Studies in Fiction from the University of East Anglia, and has recently completed the Diploma year of an MSc in Genealogical, Palaeographic & Heraldic Studies at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow.

In addition to her research, Emma has taught on a range of subjects, including English and History, and most recently as a college professor. She brings this educational background to her genealogical practice, offering clear, engaging, and meaningful research that highlights the unique and personal stories within each family’s past.
