Genealogy
The Foundation staff are recording all Leslie entries in the book The Landed Gentry of Ireland by Sir Bernard Burke published in 1912. The book is a wealth of information with 330 hits when searching the pdf for “Leslie”. This information will be verified and added to the existing database of Ireland Leslies.
The Leslie Global Diaspora Foundation is developing a long-term research and publication agenda.
Work is now underway on researching and documenting Leslies in Ireland involving accessing information from the PRONI and the National Library of Ireland. Many of the Leslies in the USA have had ancestors who have emigrated from Scotland to Ireland then on to America. This makes the research on this topic very important in understanding the Leslie diaspora.
The Foundation is developing relationships with researchers and consultants throughout the world.
