One important aspect of the Leslie Global Diaspora Foundation is the program of creating collaborative relationships. We do this by engaging other organizations such as Scottish heritage organizations, Universities with Scottish Studies, Irish and Scottish Diaspora Centers, and individuals who share the common interest in preserving Leslie history and heritage.
To accomplish this objective, we engage organizations and individuals worldwide with interests in the Leslies. We are fortunate this year to announce that William Leslie, the Younger of Wardhill, will be attending Grandfather Mountain highland Games as guests of the Leslie Global Diaspora Foundation. He will make his base at the games at the Clan Leslie Society International clan tent. Here is his bio:
William Leslie, is the Younger of Leslie of Wardes & Wardhill.
William is the eldest son of Sebastian Leslie, Chieftain of the Leslies of Balquhain.
He has grown up in a household surrounded by the rich and varied history of Scotland and the heritage of Clan Leslie. He works between London & Aberdeenshire and is the owner and conservator of Wardhill Castle, an 1000 acre estate, near Inverurie, Aberdeenshire.
As a member and representative of one of the oldest families in Scotland, William enthusiastically embraces his heritage. He supports efforts to engage those of Scottish descent from the United States in Scotland and around the world with connecting to and celebrating their Scottish heritage.
He is honored to represent Clan Leslie & Scots Heritage by attending and participating in the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games.
