Heritage Tour Planning Trip

Members of the Foundation Board recently completed a trip to Scotland to scout sites and plan a once in a lifetime trip to Scotland to visit Leslie historical sites, learn about Leslie History, and experience Scottish heritage by attending a highland games and the Edinburgh Tattoo. 

The 2025 Leslie Heritage Tour is fully booked with everyone staying at the Leslie Castle Guesthouse.

Commemorative Bench

The Davis and Leslie Commemorative Bench with the brass plaque thanking them for their work on restoring the castle is now in place. Thank you to the donors who made this project a reality. 

Upcoming Projects

The next big project is co-sponsoring a genealogy seminar at Grandfather Mountain Highland Games. The seminar will feature the Dr. Bruce Durie, author of many books and articles on Scottish genealogy. 

In July 2025, the Foundation will pursue its first extensive records preservation project by digitizing 12 boxes of the Wardhill Estate documents.

New Trip in Planning Stage

For the fall of 2025, the Leslie Global Diaspora Foundation is planning a 7 day trip to Ireland.  This is part of our Ireland Outreach Project to focus attention on the Leslie of Ireland and the extraordinary work of the Leslies of Glaslough during the famine. More info will be shared in late January 2025.
